FlexSlider: A Responsive jQuery Slider
If you’re looking for an elegantly designed content or image slider that can adapt to different screen sizes then I have good news for you. Tyler Smith has created a jQuery slider plugin that utilizes responsive methodology called FlexSlider, which was released for Smashing Magazine.
Aside from the regular features such as fading and sliding animation, and customizable options, it also includes touch gesture in the navigation options. It has been tested on Safari 4+, Chrome 4+, Firefox 3.6+, Opera 10+, and IE7+. And since it is touch gesture-inclusive, it supports iOS and Android devices as well.
The slider plugin uses simple, semantic markup so it is extremely lightweight (at 5Kb only, minified). You can have a fully responsive slider for your web design in just three easy steps but the best thing about is it’s absolutely FREE to download and use in private and commercial projects. The plugin is released under the MIT license and you may modify the plugin as you wish.
