Clipping masks, as you can see, cloaks the image to the opaque pixels of the bottommost layers.

Mr. Jaspal Dhilon shares a video tutorial where you can create interesting effects on your images using the clipping mask. You will also use some tools such as Custom Shapes Tool, Text Tool and a Stroke Tool which is very useful in creating the effect.

In this tutorial, you need to create a text layer over your selected image where you want to apply the clipping mask. It would be easy if you add a layer ABOVE where you want the new layer to fall on but you can also choose other techniques in the video below:
